Orientation

This afternoon we met the leaders, all the participants and was introduced to what we are about to experience. We received some readings, our e-ticket, a tote bag, rain poncho, strap for our bags and name plus lanyard in which to carry our passport and money. We first heard from Elaine Culbertson,a former Philly English teacher who traveled with this program in 1988. She retired from teaching and now heads this program. The other leader, Stephen Feinberg, taught in PA, Paris, France and MA. In 1989, he became a consultant to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. He just recently retired from heading the national and international outreach program, of which he created. Then the 28 teachers were all introduced and they are an awesome group. I so look forward to getting to know them.
